Acoustic plywood incorporates a sound insulation design with a core of cork, rubber, or composite rubber-cork sound-absorbing material in the panel center. The customer can choose the core material according to their needs—cork for lighter boards compared to standard birch plywood, and a special technical rubber layer for improved vibration damping and noise protection. Produced with phenol-formaldehyde adhesive, Acoustic ensures excellent bonding properties with formaldehyde emission levels complying with E1, CARB, EPA TSCA Title VI requirements. Ideal for projects with stringent sound insulation demands in civil and industrial construction, it is also used in rail vehicles, metro trains, buses, trams, sea, and river vessels. The rubber layer reduces the negative impact of vibration on health and safety, providing a higher level of comfort. Highly water-resistant, Acoustic can be overlaid with HPL, CPL, pebbled, or smooth fiberglass.
